Tuesday Update Tirzah, Teenage Fanclub, Kathryn Joseph, The Fall

Loads of records to keep you going while we wait for the Aphex Twin to get announced.

Top news

Welcome once again to Holbeck’s attempt to get in on The Vinyl Revival. Don't ask us for coffee or pie though. We just do vinyl. And CDs. And a few tapes. Actually, don’t come in at all. Best just click on the internet and we’ll do the rest.

Anyway, here’s what we think is coming this week while we wait for the Aphex Twin record to get announced. Oh - just announced!

  • Kim Deal’s punk-rock sidekicks The Amps
  • Absolutely loads of re-issues from canny little jumper boys Teenage Fanclub.
  • Perfect introduction to The Fall for the faint hearted.
  • Green River. Well there’s no ‘arm in re-issuing it.
  • Anti folk legends The Moldy Peaches revamp their debut.
  • From the 70’s, Sandy Denny’s ludicrously attired Fotheringay
  • Sunn O….and another!
  • Loads of re-issues from bad Joy Division tribute act Editors.
  • David Axelrod’s interpretations of the poetry of William Blake re-done.
  • From Finland but looking more towards outer space are Morphology.
  • The time Bert Jansch went to the big old US of A.

Latest Reductions:

  • CHEAP: Deutsche Grammophon: Loads of CDs by Max Richter and Johann Johannsson now £6.99 each.
  • CHEAP(er): Sub Pop: A bunch of Sub Pop titles including ‘Loser’ editions at lower prices.
  • CHEAP: 'Process' by Sampha: Vinyl now £12.99.

  • Everything New In so far this week.
  • All our recent Re-stocks.
  • We're confident we can match almost any vinyl price. Try us.
  • Indies-only vinyl. All the stuff only available to nice independent retailers like us.

Finally, site changes:

Just in case you haven't yet noticed we've made some changes to the site:

  • a rejigged Artist Explorer to help find you new things for your jaded ears
  • a 'Save For Later' function that works alongside your cart and wishlist
  • check out our new, wildly-inaccurate Preorder Release Schedule
  • and for everyone with time to burn, our new Reviews Wizard lets you explore the rubbish, sorry, the 28,965 incisive reviews we’ve written over the years.

That’s it. Do you like Thursdays? We do. That’s why we’ll be back with all the best things from what actually did turn up to our state of the art headquarters.
