'Back In The USA' was actually the debut album from proto-punks MC5, released in 1970 and full of hard rock fury complemented with the good vibe hooks of pop outfits like the Beach Boys. The record had a lasting influence on early punk rock, and all that greasy hair probably influenced the Strokes at some point. 'Back In The USA' features a cover of rock 'n' roll performer Chuck Berry's song of the same name.

7/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 7th November 2014
"Back in the USA" has a much tighter well produced sound than "Kick Out The Jams" or "High Time"' the two albums that preceded and followed it respectively, however it still rocks like a ton of bricks and there's catchy melodies to boot. "Looking At You" and "High School" are the stand out tracks. The album opens and closes with two classics from the rock 'n' roll era "Tutti Frutti" and the title track.
