Good ole Jack Dangers. The guy's a total schizo. He's got 2 sides to him you know. One of these sides is the dubby kick ass bass throbs which make you hurl yourself towards the nearest dancefloor, the other side is the mellow tape explorations which are more introspective and experimental. This new CD called 'Music For Planetarium' falls into the latter category. Here Jack weaves 10 pieces of sonic tapestry and creates a new space quilt for you to drift off to sleep in. I loved writing that sentence. For this is music that is the soundtrack to the vast emptiness that is space. Weirdly it's music recorded for a planetarium in Budapest (called TIT......) and I don't think I've ever heard anything more spacey sounding. This is the music you hear in your head as you're floating off in space with 30 seconds left of your life. Weird, sleep inducing almost subconscious ambience. Tremendous stuff and packaged in a lovely handmade CD thing from them nice folks at Brainwashed. Class.
