The hour is upon us... behold the new Meat Beat Manifesto album 'Autoimmune'. Jack Dangers is somewhat of a maverick when it comes to putting a breakbeat and a dub bassline together. Take a few choice samples, throw them into the mix and he manages to create some ass shakin' funky as hell tracks. It's a winning formula that has changed little over the years, although its become more reggae influenced and less post industrial. There's some ace techno sounds and some proper heavy beats. There's even a token 'Radio Babylon' sample in there. There's some toasting from Daddy Sandy who pops up on the odd MBM track now and then. 'Children Of Earth' is a monster of a tune with its big distorted techy bassline that morphs all over your ears. In the current obsession with bass heavy tunes it's clear to see why Mike Paradinas has signed this up to Planet Mu. Man I'd love to check their live show out.  2LP/CD.
