10/10 Joe Green Customer review, 2nd May 2009

Great record throughout, and probably one of the better rock releases of last year, in my opinion - I got the CD first (as I found it cheap) then imported the vinyl - the CD stayed in the car for months. Although each song has a distinct sound, it is overall very reminiscent of Deep Purple, or even a less bombastic/operatic Uriah Heep (David Byron era). Excellent Jon Lord style keyboards, lovely guitar with overdrive, with a rhythm section that really pounds along, but able to switch to acoustic mellowness if required. At times also reminds me very much of Amorphis, especially from the "Elegy" period, with interplay between swirling keyboards and simple guitar riffs - lovely. Vocal duties are shared and the female vocalist is fantastic, with a gothic sound similar to that of the female session vocalist off Paradise Losts "Gothic" album. Very highly recommended.
