Hoodz & 6Blocc: 'Haile Sellasie I' (Tribe Steppaz) No doubt coming out of the new fangled digi-dub inspired dub-step scene, this righteous sounding slab of rootsy dubstep owes as much to the spirituality of roots reggae as dub. All rasta chants, percussive strains and trademark bassline drops. The flip chops up the famous '900 Number' (Dj Mark the 45 King) break to devastating effect, more like a early junglist throwdown but with 21st century editing. The analogue style spurts and farts makes for a heady, old school flow. A strong 12" with varying influences from it's founding genres.
