Embrace are one of those bands that are slightly unfairly maligned. Like Travis and Coldplay they're harmless and some of their earlier stuff is quite good but diminishing returns (or in Embrace's case, complete lack of evolution) and earnestness has hurt their reputation.

Taken from their debut album The Good Will Out (which was one of the fastest-selling debut albums in the UK apparently!), "All You Good Good People" is a typically late 90's slab of anthemic rock and really rather bland. There were better songs on the album, including "Retread" and second single "Fireworks", but the old curse of JJ72 meant that Embrace did two well received albums before tanking into obscurity.
