Anyone into Psychedelia could do themselves no harm in checking out these comps we got in called 'Psychedelica' Volumes 1 and 2. Both are 2 CD sets and they feature the new wave of psychedelic pop bands (the third wave apparently). Volume 1 features The Black Angels, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Electric Prunes, Silver Apples, Fuzztones, The Telescopes, The Lazily Spun, Fuxa etc.... Volume 2 features The Black Angels, People's Revolutionary Choir, Heroes Of Switzerland, Lovetones, Flowers Of Hell, Hopewell, Soft Hearted Scientists, Their Hearts were Full of Spring etc... and lots more... Each set looks 30 plus tracks long so it's good value for money. Its pretty much all (reasonably) contemporary artists doing the whole psych pop thing and it's very much like a modern take on the Pebbles, Nuggets comps. Excellent!

10/10 Heather Customer review, 22nd November 2007

I bought this album for the promise of the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Electric Prunes, Fuzztones, Silver Apples, but my favourites ended up being the bands I'd never previously heard of before. The highlights for me were The Electric Mainline, Pioneer 4 and Snowdonnas. Wonderful compilation - highly recommended!

10/10 RobOZ Customer review,

This compilation of 'new psychedelia from the past' is what is needed in these times of 'scarse' good vibes. All the tunes on this album are performed very well by the dedicated bands and arranged majestically. Overall production is SUPERB. If you were waiting for something to give the music scene a nudge, this album is a MUST!
