John Callaghan is some kind of long standing Sheffield goon who's been banging around for years now making crazy sounds and never really releasing them. He's released a handful of releases of the 17 years or so he's been doing this sort of lunacy. Musically it's a kind of weird skewed electronic pop which is underpinned by the guys genuine eccentricity which runs through the music. Ant has said he can hear bits of Heaven 17 and Severed Heads in there. That's a good start I reckon though he also doesn't really sound like anyone else. You're either gonna love this or hate it. After 2-3 listens you start to realize the guys a genius. On the excellent Uncharted Audio label. You won't hear anything else as honest sounding this year... 'It Might never Happen' is CD only.
