7/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 7th November 2014

I stumbled across Canada’s Land Of Talk completely by accident but was pleasantly surprised by their sound. To my ears they are a cross between Come, Throwing Muses and a more jagged Juliana Hatfield, definitely sounding like some of the late 80s – early 90s Boston bands. “Speak To Me Bones” is a fantastic opener, their best track and “BreaxxBaxx” rocks hard. The guitar playing is great throughout, great riffs. “Street Wheels” is a swirling, dreamy ballad which differs from the other song’s urgent approach. This is an album to applaud and cheer, but not to boo and hiss. (Sorry, couldn’t resist)
