Echoes Of The Whales: 'S/T' (Disasters By Choice) With it's oceanic themed cover photograph and squiggly artwork you'd think this was some new agey type meditational lark, from what I can deduce it's a quietly melodic interface between the downtempo electronica of northern Europe and the reflective currents of American post (un) rock. Yes floating guitar refrains, ambient washes and warm pads of cushioned soundscapes.This could equally appeal to fans of C.C.O. or Kranky, Explosions In The Sky or Ulrich Schnauss.
