Walter & Sabrina: 'We Sing For The Future' (Danny Dark). Some Marxist-Leninist pop across for tracks with a quick time movie of the title track. On first listen it sounds like a wonky foreign choir singing weirdly translated carols over pompous sounding orchestration. Dig a little deeper and you'll realise the agit-prop aesthetic in the lyrics and the so-called avant-garde music as written by Cornelius Cardew and arranged by Walter Cardew and Stephen Moore. It's like the music you hear in experimental film/theatre, just not sure which or whose future they're singing for. It'd be album of the week if I had my say. Who the fook are Stock Aitken and Waterman?
