This Charles. D Speer album has two skeletons on the sleeve and one label side has a shot of some poor bearded guy with his face bashed in... 'Some Forgotton Country' is not quite the deathcore thrash up I was anticipating though. It's some hillbilly honkytonk action that tells the tales of one mans trials and tribulations. Baritone vocals some very skillful guitar pluckery. Proper dinking blues gear that's not as straightforward as you'd expect from this genre. It's a lot more far out and experimental. Phil says it's not unlike Six organs Of Addmittance at times with bits of Voice of The Seven Woods, Charlie Parr etc. LP on Sound@one.
