LAST FEW BITS OF BLACK FRIDAY LIMITED VINYL STILL AVAILABLE!

Andorra by Caribou

Dan Snaith started his musical life as an electronics boffin - first as Manitoba but, after a name switch, becoming Caribou. 2007's 'Andorra', his fourth LP and debut for Merge, started to sound a little bit like harmonic experimental pop. On 'Andorra' he was still recording solo, but you couldn't tell that when listening to the vast technicolour productions. Contains 'Melody Day', which is one of his all-time best melodies.

Caribou: 'Andorra' (City Slang) In which Dan Snaith continues his dalliance with dream time pop, sixties psychedelia and general one-man band shenanigans, yes he plays everything! He's come a long way since his solo computer with fx set up, developing a sound way beyond the sub-Four Tet style percussive electronica. Highlights are the single "Melody Day" and "She's The One", both of which summon up the feeling that Dan is in love with at least life if not love itself. His debut for City Slang after leaving Leaf. Very well recommended, for fans of his last LP "Milk Of Human Kindness" and those that appreciated his dual drum live sets.
