I thought I'd bang on the new Yeah Yeah Yeahs for a laugh. They started off quite promising and then went a bit pony but I always like to give bands another chance. The new EP (Is Is) is is (ha!) surprisingly noisy and reasonably uncommercial. The volume of the drums on the 1st track is ludicrously high.... always a sucker for loud drums. The whole EP is awash with 5 noisy and experimental (for them!) tunes which kick ass and make me realise why I liked 'em in the 1st place. Nice one.... am suitably impressed.
