ED DMX once released an acidhouse record under the name 101 Force. He's brought the pseudonym back to life with 'Axid' a 4 track EP of 88' / 89' Chicago style acid. Raw sounds from the Roland faves. 808/707/303. Although the sound is reasonably raw the production techniques sound a lot more advanced than they did back then. There's even a track called 'Acid Under' a nod to Tyree Cooper's classic 'Acid Over'. Not peak time gear by any means but quality warm up tracks. 12" on his own Breakin' label. Oh there's a new DMX Krew 'Snow Cub' 12" on the label too.
