7/10 Jack Customer review, 12th February 2016

In Journeyman's Annual, Scott Monteith, under his deadbeat alias, moves away from the more brooding minimal semi-ambient dub based grooves of his previous releases with a more diversity and eclecticism than in the past. He manages to incorporate really tense dark compositions and more seemingly frivolous tracks, through a use of vocals, and a texturisation that really creates a completely different feel than ever in the past. This music is perhaps a form of electronic dub, whereas in the past his music was more like dub influenced ambient.
