A new thing on Transgressive by Foals. It's a 7" called Hummer and apparently these are the next big thing so I'm told. These are well widdly and twiddly....and a bit all over the place. It's shouty, catchy, jerky, spiky and rammed with energy. Just when I thought I was absolutely chuffed off a lot of indie music this comes along like a bullet train and all the passengers have cans of red bull laced with speed. I went to see these with Maggie at a Transgressive roadshow sometime back and we both thought they were ace. They don't really sound like anything else. There's hints of Forward Russia in Hummer I suppose.... The energy and enthusiasm really swings it for me though. A cracking single.

10/10 Ben Keeler Customer review,

Foals are probably the best thing that have popped up in the last year. Their first single on Try Harder was a little...strangled, so to say, and sounded a LOT like Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies or 65daysofstatic or something...but they're back with this re-recorded version of the brilliant Hummer! And a new track on the B-side! Make sure you look into this one, it's absolutely amazing - very erratic, very catchy, this particular track is their most 'pop' track, but usually appeals to even the snobbiest critics.
