The first CD is a rather spiffing tripped out psychedelic mantra drone fest courtesy of FURSAXA A.KA Tara Burke. 'Alone In The Dark Wood' was previously released on the Eclipse label and has been given the evil ones and zeros treatment by the ever savvy ATP records. There's lots of twinkling bells and bizarre vocal chants. The vocals have a romantic fragility to them. The feel is pretty dark at times with a distinct eastern ritual feel. Some of the drones and buzzing sounds resonate through your skull and almost transport you to another place. Imagine eating some peyote in a desert then finding a lost colony of hippies making wind chime symphonies and smoking huge bong loads of weed. Later in the album some percussive elements appear. Quality strangeness and one of the coolest free folk things I've heard in a while.
