'The Great Awakening' is the new EP from THE EARLY YEARS on Beggars Banquet (mmmmmmmm Banquet!!! Drool) Now all I can think about is food. I'm gonna have to dine soon before I eat my own head off. As I'm a believer in deferred gratification I'll tell you about this 4 track CD and first though. 'Say What I want Want To' is very The Smiths sounding. 'On Fire' has a super weak mega puny tinny sounding drum machine beat under some piano with a female vocal. 'Autumn Song' has a krautrock sounding beat with miserable Radiohead style vocals. Finally 'A Little More (Version II)' is a dreamy instrumental piece. The 12" I'm reliably informed will be here soon. Now where's my dinner!!!
