Repeater by Fugazi

Their second record and first studio proper, Repeater continued the life of post-hardcore giants Fugazi, taking the hallmarks of hardcore bands such as Gang of Four and, you know, Minor Threat, and updating them into a new bizarre style. Still more punk than poetics, Repeater speaks to that early time in Fugazi's career when anger dictated all.

10/10 Jack 30th January 2016

Fugazi founder Ian McKaye, has already become a mythical hero of sorts for his work with Minor Threat, the DC hardcore band that started the Straight Edge movement three decades ago. While that was important music, Fugazi's album Repeater is even better. And Fugazi's influence has been at least as broad and far reaching as that of McKaye's earlier band. Fugazi's music and message is so powerful that its influence crosses all genres and lifestyles. Repeater is, one of the best albums ever made.
