Loaded was the fourth and penultimate album by The Velvet Underground and the last one to feature any of the original members, most notably, Lou Reed. It is, of course, an absolute classic and should be owned by anyone who has ever expressed even a passing interest in music. It features such greats as Sweet Jane and Rock & Roll.

9/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 29th April 2015

Like all albums by The Velvet Underground, this is great. Not as consistent as "The Velvet Underground & Nico" or "The Velvet Underground" but the high points are really high. It opens with a rather un-Velvet Underground ditty in the shape of "Who Loves The Sun", ba-ba-ba-bas, vocal harmonies and catchy melody. "Sweet Jane" follows, which is one of the coolest songs ever recorded. "Rock and Roll" keeps the hits coming and these two songs show The Velvets at their best. "Cool it Down" is also great. The album goes of the boil a little midway through but it doesn't affect the overall listening pleasure. The highlight of side two is the closing track "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'", a long, aching ballad.
