Immediately the first track makes me think of AFX's Analord series with its 303 Acid bassline weaving in and out of the complex percussion. You know what to expect from Mr. Funk's beat programming and this is no exception, top drawer. There are some real ... »

Moving onto 8ft Canadian grizzly bear Venetian Snares' new one on Planet Mu - 'Calvacade Of Glee And Dadaist Happy Hardcore Pom Poms'. Immediately the first track makes me think of AFX's Analord series with its 303 Acid bassline weaving in and out of the complex percussion. You know what to expect from Mr. Funk's beat programming and this is no exception, top drawer. There are some really sweet moments on here as well as the nasty aggressive style he does so well. You're not going to be blown away if you're already familiar with his work but its a fun listen and worthy of the collection. CD only at the moment with vinyl to follow because someone somewhere is seemingly incapable of simultaneously releasing two formats at once. .
