Monster Movie now. On the rather super Graveface who released that excellent Dreamend CD a bit back (& a split with them & these that we've just got back in) ,this is someone from Slowdive apparently & what a pleasant stroll down strummy, wistful pop lane this is. warm, brittle, slightly dreamy & melancholic, acoustic here, Radio Dept fuzzy there, toytown MBV shapes, Mercury Rev pie, Joy Zipper kebabs & Sarah records without the knee socks & hairslides. For some reason, my dear colleague Clint has started singing a Mike & the Mechanics tune but he's completely mad. Utterly lovely & in gorgeous packaging as per usual
