I first heard "Lie in the Sound" on a Paste magazine sampler, and it hooked me. It still does. I can't hear it without wanting to close my eyes and drift back into that soundscape of smooth rhythm and ethereal voice. The rest of the album has much the same effect, each song telling its own fragment of story. "Alone" and "Flicker" drive forward with a steady beat and singing guitar notes. "Let You Down" and "Love You More" throb with a sadness that resonates all the way down to the bones, shaking them loose from their moorings and making your whole body simply melt.
