Carrion Camping by The Vichy Government

What a clever bunch the The Vichy Government are. They're so cynical, its well funny. They at times sound like a bunch of total geeks laying down childish cheap keyboard riffs and repetitive minimal beats. I like the Irish Accent on here a lot and the bizarre combination with electronic music works really well. The cold sound of 'Who Makes The Calibans?' reminds me of "The Path Of Least Resistance" from 'The golden Era of the Human League'. The lyrics here are heavily political at times but never get too serious. Recorded in the summer of 2003, no one wanted to put this (Its called 'Carrion Camping' by the way) out until the Filthy Little Angels label came along. I'm loving some of the synths on here and the lyrics are just wicked. Probably the kind of thing you'll think is extremely clever or extremely stupid. I personally think this is outstanding modern poetry and a right old larf.
