Usually shit records (or things with tons of press already) get wanged straight in the mentions column these days to seperate the wheat from the chaff & assist you in your hunt for exiting new audio wonderment. Though gotta mention the new Noblesse Oblige single. There's something totally wrong about this record, 'Quel Genre De Garcon' . The sleeve looks like a warped Athena poster for heroin addicts & the music is semi acoustic electronic pop with vox in French that somehow gets your feet tapping & your brow furrowing. The next track is pretty catchy too, buried under a layer of dirty fuzz with a breathy female vocal ad lib & a rapidly strummed acoustic. 'In Between Days' remixed by Fat Truckers or DIV anyone? Don't forget the bonus track, 'Useless Man' with Leigh Bowery either. A genuinely surprising turn up for the books. (The last single was heinous) 7"/CDs on Horseglue.
