6/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 15th July 2015

Will Oldham has used many names in his recording career. His early work was released under either Palace Music or Place Brothers depending on the band's line-up. Here, the band consists of his brothers Ned and Paul Oldham therefore the album was released under the Palace Brothers name. This is Will Oldham's second album and was released in 1994. It's mostly acoustic guitar and vocals with a bit of bass and percussion. This is probably my least favourite album in Will Oldham's catalogue. Most of the songs don't seem finished and sometimes feel like they've just decided to start recording after a night of drinking, "Come Little Dog", for example. However, there are a few bright spots "I am A Cinematographer" being the brightest.
