Here I have in my grubby little mitt is a CD by Hypnotique. I'd love to know
what's happening on the sleeve but I think I'm destined to never find out.
Anyway Hypnotique is a UK based performance artist, musician and theremin virtuoso
and this album is "uplifting and soothing music for the impending apocalypse".
I feel thoroughly depressed just reading that sentence and the music hasn't lifted my
mood yet. It is quite interesting stuff though and she has recently done a gig
with Camp Actor (one of the best ever band names). Its kind of home made
semi-gothy music with lashings of scary theremin/keyboard effects. According to Phil this
is Strawberry Switchblade crossed with Charlie and the Chocolate
factory and I can't really better that. On Lunette Records
