6/10 Clinton Staff review, 21 September 2012
Phil had obviously gone completely mental before he buggered off to Lanzarote. We have several records in this week with the word ‘dread’ used as a hilarious pun. This is an odd one, it’s classic early ‘90s fusion of funk, reggae, hip-hop and toasting which possibly could have been a hit alongside Soul II Soul etc but wasn’t. I can’t work out why it has been re-issued. Is there a reason for this? Its the type of thing that would have come on the wireless in the petrol station I worked at in ‘92 sandwiched between some SWV and Snap!
