8/10 Jack Customer review, 6th October 2015

Really intense, cinematic album. Your friends might think you are crazyfor liking it. Do not operate heavy machinery while listening to Jeremy Barnes bust out melodies on his hammond turkish cumbus. "The Moon Under the Water" has one of the most disorienting moments in music that I can recall, a brilliant abrupt change from gypsy sound to mariachi and then back that fits so perfectly within the context of the piece. It is just such a shocking shift, and so satisfying to hear the strings go to trumpets and build together.
