9/10 Brian Staff review, 29 November 2006
Some geezer from Franz Ferdinand has decided to release a solo effort under the nom de plume of Box Codax & it absolutely rules. A slowed down mid eighties New Order drum track (a bit like the sound of '1963') overlaid with Fred Schneider-on-mogadon vocal intonations, disjointed electro bootie bass, techno blips & cool chick backing vox all conspire to make this one of the strangest, quirkiest works of genius we've heard for a wee while. The B-side is a lovely bit of spring balladery being shat on by Ween. File under ODD.7" & CDs. SOTW y'all hear.
