The Miscreant by Toob
1 review. Write a review for us »

4/10 Tom 18th December 2018

Toob are an electronic duo featuring Rich Thair and Jake One of the electro, acid jazz band Red Snapper (who released records on Warp among others). Toob is the project that Thair and One worked on during Red Snapper's hiatus, and the Miscreant comes from their 2005 debut How to Spell Toob. Combining a constant pulsating bass rhythm, with live drums, and interlocking synths, the Miscreant is pleasant enough but without any real innovation, sense of fun, or hooks, it plods along for 5 minutes and is then quickly forgotten.
