Here is a double vinyl remastered edition of Arthur Russell's masterwork 'World of Echo' which lest you've bought it before, now comes with revised artwork. This deeply meditative album contains the original album plus drum-less versions of some of his disco classics and four previously unreleased tracks. A must.

7/10 Jack Customer review, 8th February 2018

This little known but far reaching release seems to have inspired quite a few since. An avant-garde Nick Drake does seem an appropriate comparison, though Russell's experimental folk drifts as much into the future as it connects into the past. There are many of the artist's signature echo-drenched cello compositions which do tend to become compositionally repetitious and dwindle on a bit at times, but when the minimalist reverb works, World Of Echo truly lives up to its title and the album convincingly renders a portrait for this important sound-scaper.
