You know this record. It's a classic. It's a polished Sebadoh album that sounds quite high budget. The polished sound really allows the songwriting prowess of Barlow and Lowenstein to come to the fore. Every songs a banger. I reckon this record is a classic. If you don't already own this LP then you are obviously retarded or John Terry. It's got everything has this baby. It's got rocking numbers, at least four or five real grunge classics. It's got a few numbers that really get your tear ducts going. The record has had some sort of remaster as well. Grungy lo-fi miserabilism has never sounded so good. It's basically an album that any grunger worth his plaid should own. The bonus CD is also a very interesting affair. It's a singles collection with loads of B-sides and veritable curios that you need in your life. It's an album that should be hailed as one of the all time great rock record. It's sad and emotional but also massively uplifting at times. I spent a lot of time back in the day with this record. It was a more innocent time back then. Before CGI and 9/11. before salt was banned in some chip shops. Back when you could take a hot crumpet from behind without blubbing and not get a load of twats like Mumford & Sons ruining your day. Bakesale is a super good album. Its genius. YOU NEED THIS...
