Re-issue of Micah P Hinson's first album from 2004 where we all enjoyed his music and didn't know too much about his politics. It's a quiet and spectral record that shows off his rich and dark brown voice which sings sad lullabies sort of in the vein of Smog. Underneath is an orchestrated tapestry of alt country yearnings with organs, flutes and strings fleshing out the quiet meditations.

We keep getting asked about this Micah P Hinson CD. Finally we have it. It sounds really lovely. The singing sounds a bit like Smog but more cheerful. Its nice acoustic stuff that could get into the alt country bracket. The guy's voice is great - the music is minimal acoustic guitar and understated backing. I'm fishing about for the killer comparison which will send it flying off the shelves but I can't so......on Sketchbook.I think I'll buy this for the Mrs.

This is quite simply the greatest album ever written...everyone should buy a copy!! It took a couple of listens to really get into it...then it simply blows you away!
