The delectable Miss Kittin has her debut solo album out this week on NovaMute. Is this the death of 'electroclash' then? Dunno where it started really. Not being cynical but I reckon the whole thing was conceived to re-boot Felix Da Housecat's flagging limp house career. Just listen to what Adult. were producing 6 years ago in Detroit & forget Fischerspooner. This, however, is pretty fine. Kind of like a less arty (see: annoying) Chicks On Speed with a light pop touch & some pretty accessible tunes, a deft pan-European feel & not a fraction of the cheeze displayed on Felix's latest opus. Frisky, sexy & tight electro, dubby minimal house & icy cool vocals. Top stuff!
