8/10 Brian Staff review, 06 December 2006
I'm not sure how to describe Scatter. Like most releases on Pickled Egg, It's a bit of an impenetrable stew. The closest we can come up with is a Scottish folk Polyphonic Spree after consuming a field of mind bending funghi. A real pot pouri of  psychedelic whimsy, eastern jazz & drunken sea shanty experimentalism. That's just the first few minutes. The sleeve gives the game away. A saucepan of blancmange being poured onto a solar system. Truly mad, inspired & hugely enjoyable. It's also divided the office in two as Clint wants to throw the stereo out the window & we've had to manhandle him to the floor & tie him up with gaffa tape. We've coined a phrase for this: Scot Ra! Haha....CD only.
