Modern Wild Dub - Dread Meets Disco Punkrocker Downtown is, simply put, a great compilation of under appreciated tunes from artists educated on city streets by the sounds of late 70's Punk and Disco and early 80's New Wave, Reggae (Dub) and Hip-Hop. Half of the 13 tunes carry a toe tapping rhythm and energy that make you want to jump around in the privacy of your room and truly rock out. This music is as primal and real as it gets, filled with the fury of heavy gut busting bass lines, screeching scary disjointed guitar riffs and biting political commentary.
