10/10 10000johns Customer review, 16th October 2014

This album has status afforded to few records in my collection due to the fact that I bought it on CD and didn't listen to it for years, then found it by accident and it blew my mind. It is the perfect blend of beautifully produced post hardcore melody and noise. It never descends into a row; the singing is yelling and shouting, but that just adds to the sense of urgency created by the abrasive guitar. This is an anti-dote to the post-produced guitar mush that prevails these days, it is dynamic, thoughtful and very, very musical. It should be held in high regard in a similar way to that 'At the Drive In' album with the car on the front. It is not that album, but something magical is going on here worthy of musical landmark status. Now I'm thinking that maybe it is the work of a band who just write with the self-belief; making music entirely for themselves. I don't know anything about them though, so that might be rubbish.

9/10 Joel Customer review, 6th August 2014

Drive Like Jehu's final album, Yank Crime, is so good that it kinda makes you hate other post-hardcore bands through association. Why can't they all sound as good as this album! A bunch of weird guitar riffs, some yelling and catchiness. Yank Crimes is pretty much everything you want in an album and more.
