Beginning life in 1985 as a Black Flag-influenced, hardcore punk band called Virulence, Fu Manchu went on to become a household name in heavy, stoner rock, alongside contemporaries such as Kyuss, Sleep and Monster Magnet. Originally released on the legendary, now disbanded label Bongload, this is the second reissue for ‘Daredevil’ on the bands own record label At The Dojo.

8/10 Jack Customer review, 26th June 2017
Daredevil is Fu Manchu's sophomore album, released in 1995, and is considered by many fans to be their first "proper" album. Daredevil is where Fu Manchu really came into their own, while on the first album (No One Rides For Free) they hadn't quite hit their trademark sound yet. On Daredevil, the songs are groovy, fuzzy, sometimes space-y, and very much fun -- it sounds like the band had a lot of fun making this record. If you're new to Fu Manchu, this is a great place to start as any other 90s Fu releases.
