7/10 Howl at the Moon Customer review, 11th June 2015

My ears always prick up when I hear the name of the Stooges used to describe a band, although comparisons are very rarely accurate: It normally means "we like the stooges and wish we sounded even half as good" rather than "we actually sound like primal rock n roll with the best frontman in the whole world".

So it is with this. The middle section gives some of the mid-song chaos/breakdown of a Funhouse track, but with hammered organ, rather than squalling sax, and some of those groovy bass lock-in grooves that they used to do. It reminds me a lot more of the first Gallon Drunk single, Ruby/Draggin' Along, mainly due to the dirty organ, clattering drums and indecipherable vocals.

So, is it any good?

Yes. Daft, dirty, fuzzed up garage rock, with the emphasis on the rock, rather than the garage.
