8/10 Clinton Staff review, 17 December 2006
I have a CD here in my webbed fist purporting to be by The Six Parts Seven, who are not, I repeat NOT  Six By Seven. I say purporting to be by them because it seems to be re-interpretations of their songs by other people. So basically its a various artists comp - a tribute to Six Parts Seven if you will. The artists that are doing the re-interpretations (or covers) are not your usual dance/electronic people. Its generally acoustic/indie  artists such as Iron and Wine, Centro-Matic, Pall Jenkins of Black Heart Procession, a Modest Mouse feller  and (jesus christ) Pedro the Lion. Which begs the question, is this band completely influential with a huge following of underground troubadour types or do they simply have lots of money? Whatever, this is a good CD (called The Lost Notes Forgotten Songs) and some of the songs are lovely. On Suicide Squeeze.
