'Ocean Moon' was initially released in 1984 by Echo & The Bunnymen, who are now recognised as one of the most formative post-punk bands. The record carried on the band's interest in using ornamenting arrangements to complement their despondent sound, including a string section, a la what the Waterboys did in order to make their simple rock music cinematic. It's arguably the softest entry in the Echo discography.

8/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 8th July 2015
This is Echo & The Bunnymen's best album by some distance in my mind. It's probably their most immediate and most pop album too with lush strings adding to their otherwise dark sound. "The Killing Moon" is their greatest song. It is one of THE greatest songs, however, after making such a bold claim, I generally disagree with Ian McCulloch's view that The Bunnymen were the greatest band ever. "Seven Seas" is the most conventional pop song on here. Other highlights include "Crystal Days", "Silver" and "Nocturnal Me".
