I Am Kloot by I Am Kloot

I am Kloot was in fact the second album by Mancunian miserablists I Am Kloot and once again showcased the songwriting prowess of John Bramwell. It is more streamlined that their earlier work but retains the dark heart always at the core of their best songs. Guy Garvey is a fan but please don't let that put you off. Re-issue on Music on Vinyl.

Anyway first today is the new one by I am Kloot called originally enough I Am Kloot (come on lads you can do better than that). The insert features someone smoking. As I say to Pips and Brian on a regular basis -smoking is not cool, it looks daft  and it will kill you and other people. Anyway this is ok slick-ish pop rock that reminds me of Shack on more than one occasion. Phil likes this loads. I'm told these guys are Mancs but they sound very much like a Liverpool band. Hmm its a crazy messed up world. Vinyl to follow and the first few come with an extra slip case. Artwork is just white text on black sleeve. Simple, classic.
