9/10 Matt Sanchez Customer review, 8th November 2016
When I was teenager and britpop was riding high, 1977 by Ash was one of those must-have albums. It was full of classic hits, like Girl From Mars, Oh Yeah and Angel Interceptor. Goldfinger was the best though, full of teen angst and future hopes - a timeless classic that takes me back everytime I hear it. The song itself to me is abour being locked in a basement with a girl and the rain lashing down but everything is OK and the world is locked out. That timeless feeling that translates from Ash's home of Northern Ireland to London to New York to Sydney, its that perfect moment of happiness recorded for a 4 minute song. Perfect
