9/10 Bill O Customer review, 24th April 2015
In typical, provocative Sigur Ros-style, this album is beautifully minimalistic in it's concept. () is an 'untitled' album, with 8 'untitled' tracks. The artwork is blank with no text in sight. A true 'let the music do the talking' moment.
() is an album of two halves. It's first haunting, simplistic, echoing, subdued in sound. The second beautifully constructed, epic numbers, taking the listener to the scenes of their own imagining.
The album is a journey that is sometimes difficult to dip in to, certainly a piece that must be enjoyed from the opening right through to the final untitled track. An album that is designed to be listened to in vinyl.
10/10 James Clarke Customer review, 27th November 2006
Like floating on a sunset cloud, the deminishing light gentle illuminates the underbelly, as you gentlly float off into the distance. It's only when the music stops, and you awake to the cold harsh reality that your wife just left you, you lost your job, and your kids hate you.
Most argue that Ágætis byrjun is their best album, but this is just so much more fully realised, and I just can't recommend it enough!
