8/10 Penrith Steve Customer review, 3rd November 2014

“The Ideal Crash” is the experimental, rocking Belgians finest hour. I guess that they have reined in the experimentation a little and the songs have come to the fore. “Sister Dew” is a melodic ballad which fits very nicely after the noisy opener “Put the Freaks Up Front”. The title track is a hyperactive groove with Tom Barman almost whispering the vocal line at first. The album’s best track, and arguably the best song Deus have ever recorded is “Instant Street” which is a well paced and melodic. Starting off as a gentle stroll and building to a slightly discordant mammoth rock song. It is a great album, also possibly a good starting point for any potential fans.
