I don't know which Paul Weller album this is. It doesn't really matter. If you like him you'll be interested in getting it on vinyl. Whether you can afford the £32.99 asking price is another matter. The music industry screwed itself up in the past by charging £16 for CDs that cost pennies to make. Looks like they are off the same way with vinyl. Obviously this format is more expensive to produce so a higher retail price is understandable but this is really taking the piss especially when there are no extras and nothing deluxe.
1/10 Richard Customer review, 30th January 2017
Paul Weller has his LPs from the heady days of Britpop reissued on vinyl to fill the pockets of the man from Island Records who told you all to burn your LPs and buy CDs back when Weller was fannying about on TOTP in the Style Council. Not only that but they want you to shell out £33 for each one. That's almost £11 more than it costs to provide a homeless person a place in a Crisis at Christmas shelter for food, warmth and a health check up. Just remember that when parting with your hard earned for one of these. Especially if you are buying all 4 of the reissue LPs at a combined cost of £132. Yep. And there is nothing deluxe about them it seems. Just remastered on heavyweight vinyl in a decent quality sleeve.
Oh, and I hate this record too. It sucks. Massively. It's sweaty, dull & just horrible. You probably know if you like it or not. I don't.
Please spend your cash on something much more worthwhile. Buy decent records from Norman - they have lots, like that great Ectoplasm Girls LP that is just £13! And sorry for such a negative review in negative times. I just really don't like this LP or the rip-off cost. This is the first time I've been grumpy about a record on Norman & I promise to only post nice things online from now on.
