'New York City 1980-1984' is the first ever release of recordings from electronic music student John Zieman, a chap who plied his trade at Hampshire college in the early '80s. The album is a series of outsider recordings that takes in all the nice and nasty sounds of the era (digi-sax anyone?), then splurts them all back out in music that will be enjoyed by fans of the likes of Ariel Pink, John Maus and Woo.
